Volunteers
Volunteers are vital to the service delivery and support that each JJF program provides. Some volunteers may be required to complete training, submit to a criminal background check, and sign a Volunteer Agreement prior to service. Volunteer opportunities at JJF include:

1. CEASE Program

There are several ways you can volunteer to help the CEASE Program. Opportunities include:

2. Visitation Centers

  • Site Coordinators: Coordinate visitation schedules and supervise volunteer visitation monitors at faith-based visitation center locations.
  • Visitation Monitors: Supervise visits between foster children and birth family members at faith-based visitation center locations; draft observation court reports.

 

3. Project Ready, Set, Go!

  • Coping Workshop Instructors: Share information about topics of concern with Parents who are participating in the Family Drug Court program. Sample workshop topics include: Anger Management, Work readiness and interviewing skills, stress management, parenting skills, budgeting and financial assistance, relapse prevention.
  • Youth Track Instructors: Spend an afternoon leading an art project, writing activity, play session, or craft with the children and adolescents in our program.

4. A Future. Not A Past: Stop Prostitution of Children in Georgia Campaign

  • Community Ambassador: Attend quarterly volunteer trainings to learn how to lend your voice to help fight the prostitution of Georgia's children by raising awareness in your own community.

5. Donation Drive Coordinators

  • National Adoption Day in Court Toy Drive Coordinator: Volunteer to coordinate the annual fall toy drive for National Adoption Day.
  • Angela’s House Holiday Gift Drive: Volunteer to coordinate the annual gift drive for the girls who are living at Angela’s House during the Christmas Holidays.
  • Have A Heart Donation Drive: Volunteer to coordinate the annual Valentines Day donation drive (example: new socks and underwear drive for the court’s youth clothing closet).

6. Event Volunteers

  • Volunteer to work a shift at one of JJF’s annual events, or serve on the planning, set up, or clean up committees for an event.
