Permanency Center Project: Ready, Set, Go! Campaign Spotlight: The Permanency Center
Housing Project Ready, Set, Go!

The Permanency Center is a new project of the Juvenile Justice Fund that is being constructed on the first floor of Fulton County Juvenile court. The Permanency Center, modeled in several ways like the Reunification Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will house services and support to increase permanency outcomes for children in out of home care.

The Permanency Center, constructed and furnished with grants from the Humana Foundation and The Home Depot Foundation totaling $120,000, will create an inviting and home-like environment, where parents and children can seek and receive the support, services, treatment and coping skills they need to strengthen and care for their children long-term.

The Juvenile Justice Fund (JJF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with the Fulton County Juvenile Court (the largest juvenile court in the Southeast) to identify and address the myriad of complex needs of the youth and families under the court’s jurisdiction. Needs are addressed by:

  • Implementing direct service programs by replication or design of innovative evidence-based practices and services to meet these needs;
  • Education and training for professionals, volunteers, and civic organizations;
  • Increasing public awareness of juvenile justice and related issues;
  • Advocacy at the state and local level for underserved youth populations.
